Alison Cogan


Alison has been an Early Childhood Educator for over 20 years. She graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Early Childhood Education and has worked as an Early Childhood Educator and Early Childhood Director in both the private and public sectors in Nova Scotia. She is currently working for the Annapolis Valley School Board.

She has a great passion for Yoga, Ayurveda Yoga, Chakra Yoga and introducing Yoga to children. She tries to incorporate yoga, pranayama breathing and relaxation into her work with the children and everyday life. Alison has completed Tantric Hatha Teacher Training (500 hours) from the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania and Halifax Yoga 8 Studio; Yoga Teacher Training Intensive (200 hours) from Breathing Space Yoga Studio, Halifax, N.S.; Radiant Child Yoga Levels 1 and 2 developed by
Shakta Khalsa, Halifax N.S. She is a Certified Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist from the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania and Chakra Yoga Heart Training in Dartmouth NS. and during covid she received a certificate in Rainbow Yoga for children.
Alison incorporates yoga as much as possible into her everyday teaching in the classroom and life in general.


Alison lives in Windsor, N.S. with her family. She enjoys camping, walking in nature, sailing,
creating, and laughing with her family! She is excited to be able to offer Children’s Yoga and
Yoga Camps to young Children at Clifton House and the surrounding grounds this summer and into the fall.
