About Clifton House
About Us
Yoga, Fitness, Wellness, and Healing
A majestic Georgian home overlooking the Haliburton estate across the road, Clifton House opened in late 2017 as home to our FitYoga Studio. It quickly blossomed into so much more then just a small yoga studio! We’ve seen many incredible people walk through our doors, stay a while, launch a dream, grow and build confidence in themselves with the support of others by their side.
The world is full of endless possibilities!! What a wonderful feeling it is to trust your gut, listen to your heart and take chances! FitYoga Windsor is moving locations early in 2023 and when that happens, Clifton House will be closing its doors. We are all excited for what’s to come, for growth and change in our community! Letting go of good things is hard, but great things are on the horizon – Stay tuned!

Our Instructors

Alison Cogan
Kids Yoga Instructor

Kristen Murphy
Yoga Instructor
Kristen began yoga at a young age for the physical benefits relating to athletic performance. However, she quickly grew to love the practice for its overall health benefits including psychological wellness. This inspired Kristen to complete her 200 hour yoga teacher training through the Yoga Barn and Therapeutic Approach Yoga Studio in 2020.
Kristen enjoys creative sequencing to stretch, strengthen, and restore the body. She brings together her high energy and love for stillness to create a practice to align both the mind and body.
Outside of yoga, Kristen is completing her social work degree. She spends her time outdoors enjoying nature, exploring and hiking with her son and their dog. “

Melanie Wellard
Fitness Instructor, Trainer
Fitness has been a way of life for Melanie ever since she was in grade 8 and asked her parents to buy her a set of pretty colourful weights from the Sears catalogue for Christmas. Her passion for fitness grew through school team sports and continued into university where she ran track and field. It became part of her daily routine to be in the weight room or attending a group fitness class. She always made time for physical activity and team sport once she started her professional career and entered the world of motherhood.
In her early 20’s, she saw Mari Winsor’s infomercial advertising her Pilates DVD set. Melanie bought into it and she was hooked! She loved the new movement, how it strengthened her core, and created long, lean muscles. A year later, she became a certified group fitness instructor through the YMCA where she volunteered for many years teaching pilates inspired workouts 2-3 times a week. Some of her continuing education has included Introduction to Fascial Movement, STOTT PILATES® Essential Matwork with a Fascial Focus, STOTT PILATES® Mini Foam Roller Flow, and STOTT PILATES® Twist Ball Workshop.
